A performance photo of "Turning Point of the Youngsters"

A scene of the live performance of "Turning Point of the Youngsters" (Ahn Jong-hwa, 1934) with a live band and an onstage narrator in 2008. The original color photo was converted to black and white. "Turning Point of the Youngsters" is the oldest surviving Korean feature film, which became known to the world in July 2007 when a private collector who briefly operated Dansungsa theater after liberation donated an original nitrate negative film to the Korean Film Archive. Since then, the Korean Film Archive hosted a performance with an accompanying onstage narrator and a live band to restore not only the film but also the movie-viewing environment of the silent film era. This live performance premiered in 2008 to celebrate the relocation of the Korean Film Archive building in Sangam-dong. Director Kim Tae-yong was in charge of directing the performance, and actor Jo Hee-bong oversaw film narration.
