Bawdsey Esmerelda, prize winning Red Poll cow, is usually milked at dawn but today there was no time to milk her before going before the judges so 29 yr old landgirl, Vera Lucock, her milkmaid, sat down to milk her after she had taken her prize. The cow is owned by Lady Quilter of Bawdsey, near Woodbridge.
