"GETTING AHEAD" BY MAKING HATS: GIRLS CHOOSE A MILLINERY CAREER
DG/VAN
Although most women's
hats look as though they came into being through sheer accident to the majority - designing model millinery is a specialised business. At MADAM EVA RITCHER'S hat school in Mayfair, girls from all over Britain and some from overseas are learning the milliner's art on a three months training course.
PHOTO SHOWS: "Going to her Head". An overseas student from the millinery school tries on a model she has made herself.
