"IN THE GROOVE" TREE FELLING IN RICHMOND PARK DG/RND London lumberjacks (of the Ministry of Works) FRANK RAYBON (cap on right) and BEN WORBY are cutting down the work of 500 years. When this tree was a young sapling it was impossible to tell where Richmond Park started and the City of London ended. Today, condemmed as dangerous the tree in Richmond Park must come down. A groove is being cut so that the tree will fall towards it. FOX PHOTOS April 27 1950 Industry - Timber
