In a metal workshop in Tiberias, a hoard of several hundred metal items was discovered inside three large hidden jars. The hoard contained vessels for lighting, serving food, and eating, some complete and some broken or repaired; tools and assorted spare parts, such as handles, legs, and bases; and scraps intended for remelting. The objects were produced by hammering or casting. The hoard sheds light on the different manufacturing methods and types of decoration used by metalworkers in this period.
