A Spaced out Piggy Bank

When NASA started the Gemini project in 1961 it was an attempt to overtake the Soviet Union in the so-called Space Race, in trying to land on the moon. The Gemini space capsule's distictive form was ideal for a saiving's bank the firm Banthrico thought. Banthrico Inc. had started making saving's banks in the 1930's and continued until 1985.
