Paradise Alley, c1898.
Original black and white photograph of a rustic street, likely a series of cribs in Lousetown, or Klondike City. A few women are posed leaning out of the buildings.
An inscription on the photograph reads "Larss & Duclos Photos Dawson Y.T. // Midnight Hour Oshiwara, or 'White Chapel' of Dawson"
Per Edvard Larss and Joseph E.N. Ducloss ran a photographic studio in Dawson and took iconic photographs in and around Dawson during the Gold Rush era.
