In the Orbiter Processing Facility at NASA's Kennedy Space Center, a technician shows a reinforced carbon-carbon panel to STS-125 Mission Specialists Mike Massimino (left) and Mike Good. The RCC panels are part of the thermal protection system used on space shuttles. The crew is at Kennedy for a crew equipment interface test, which provides hands-on experience with hardware and equipment for the mission.
