The painting «A view in Peterhof» was given to Grand Duke Michael Alexandrovich as a present from Madame von Flotova, a kamerfrau of Empress Maria Feodorovna. The painting depicts a place in the park where a «mast» was installed. It was the favourite playground of the children from the Imperial family.
