This image of Henry Street in Bath was taken by John Summerson, Deputy Director of the National Buildings Record. Summerson visited the city days after it had been bombed by the Luftwaffe during the Second World War. The view looks towards the tower of the Church of St James, the remains of which were demolished after the war.
