A View of Louisbourg in North America

The print depicts the action leading up to the English taking Louisbourg from French control in 1758 after it had been restored to the French in 1748. This print was included in a publication titled Scenographia Americana in 1768 which was a collection of twenty-eight scenes in various sites around America. Such as the scene depicted in this print, many of the images were related to British victories during the Seven Years War.
