This panoramic view of the River Thames looks eastwards or upstream. It was taken from the north bastion of Tower Bridge, which connects the London Boroughs of Southwark and Tower Hamlets. Tower Bridge was designed by Sir John Wolfe Barry with architectural features by Sir Horace Jones. It opened in 1894.
