A Warehouse Employee Much Beloved by his Colleagues

Funerary inscription of Marcus Cocceius Hilarus dedicated by his wife, Licinia Libas. The man worked at the horrea Nervae, identified with some warehouses located near the river Tiber (current area of Testaccio); his job is not specified, but the text shows curiously that he had received great affection from his colleagues in his workplace. First half of the 1st century AD.
