Painting from the south, Epistle side of the ceiling in Eksjö old church demolished in 1887. The image is combined of two motifs: The High Priest Aaron by his altar (Exodus 28:1-43) and Moses and the Brazen Serpent (Numbers 21:1-9). The painting was made by Jürgen Kunkel in 1687 based on engravings by Matthäus Merian the Elder from 1630.
