AB I, 1 A memory

In this writing Michelangelo wrotes with beautiful hand the price of execution of the tomb of Giulio II and of the vault of the Sistine Chapel. The accurate write leaves us to imagine that the letter was destineted to the pontifical registry or to the Pope himself. On the back of this sheet we found some domestic notes taken in a second moment by Michelangelo himself and, in the middle of the paper, three capital letters SAP, perhaps a grafical test of the central part of the name IOSAPHAT, meant to the lunette with the Christ’s ancestors of the Sistine Chapel.
