This is an agreement that is made by Michelangelo with the stonemason Bartolomeo di Giampaolo di Cagione da Tonaro, called Marcino, in order to recruitment the marble in the Polvaccio’s quarry. The writing, dated 18 November 1516, testifies the moment in which Michelangelo, after the second contract concluded to find the marble blocks for the tomb of Giulio II, returned to Carrara for the purpose of concluding agreements with the stonemasons again. This act is subscribed by Domenico di Sandro Fancelli, called Zara, that signs in behalf of Mancino, illiterate.
