AB IV, 182 Letter to the nephew Leonardo

Thi short letter is the last that Michelangelo wrote to his beloved nephew Leonardo, only two months before his death. In the letter the artist thanks his nephew for the gift sent to him (little cheese) and apologized if he didn’t respond to his previous letters. From the letter shines through the fatigue of the elder master, forced from now on to subscribe to letters writtrn by different people, bucause the capacity runs short. In the last letter send to his nephew, in the 14 February 1564, Michelangelo, four days from the death, will express the desire, never come true, to review his beloved nephew.
