The letter shows the friendly relationship and mutual respect between Michelangelo and Tommaso de’ Cavalieri, a young Roman man known not just striking for his beauty but also for his intellettual gifts. To him are meant the so called Michelangelo’s presentation drawings – drawings not intended for the preparation of future arts work but well finished to be donated – according to Vasari and that has been presenved for us. In this letter Michelangelo responded to his friend’s complimets in a previous letter, with the promise to send him new works.
