Discovered at Murwab Fort in 1981, during the French archaeological mission, this ceramic jar is completely covered (inside and outside) with a blue-turquoise glaze. This « waterproof » characteristic made it possible to transport and preserve liquids such as oil. This crockery was produced in the famous potters workshops of Basra and then transported either by coastal shipping or by road along the eastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula to Qatar.
