These garments are made from cotton with sokta work. Sokta work is a patchwork technique using strips of tape, ribbon or fabric. The designers said, "We saw the technique in a Rabari tribal skirt from North West India. By employing strips of tape or ribbon as well as fabric, we discovered a simple and economical way to make sections to the shape of the garment. The geometric pattern of the sokta is slightly adjusted to follow the neckline of the coat, and the hem of the skirt".
