Evening Hat of Black Ribbon

This elegant example of headwear is extensively covered in shortsilk ribbons with v-cut ends. It is affixed on the upper head with an interior comb. The ribbons fall down onto the neck. The cap cites the black lace mantillas of Cristóbal Balenciaga’s native Spain. Madame de Osborne was a long-standing customer of Cristóbal Balenciaga.
