Museum of Australian Democracy at Eureka (M.A.D.E)
Ballarat, Australia

Over 300,000 Australians have signed their name to the hands as part of a community campaign in support of reconciliation between non-indigenous and indigenous Australia. First installed at Parliament House, Canberra in 1997 they have also been installed at cities and towns across Australia. M.A.D.E tells the story of democracy - big and small, domestic and international - and the story of indigenous Australia's quest for recognition and democratic rights is one story told at the museum.
