About Face

About Face' is a ‘Biomythology’ – juxtaposing personal history with myth in a narrative of selfie-perception. After four decades exploring some of the wide-open spaces of our world, now, only my memories are allowed to travel. I created the series of subjective portraits starting with the illusions of youth, expressed through photographs and scrounged scraps of collaged movie, TV posters and book covers found around my house, to now. Confined to my home under quarantine, I’ve found my sense of self has become a very unreliable, fragmented and contradictory figure.
