Cornell University Library’s copy of the Gettysburg Address is the only one copiy to be accompanied by a letter from Lincoln transmitting the manuscript and by the original envelope addressed and “franked” by Lincoln—the President’s signature on the envelope served as a stamp. He did not have to pay for postage.
