Christy Marx is an American screenwriter best known for her work on various TV series, including Captain Powers and the Soldiers of the Future, a science-fiction television series that merged live action with animation based on computer-generated images. Mattel based a line of toys and interactive television games on Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future. Advertisements for the line encouraged children to grab The Captain Power Powerjet XT-7 to fire invisible beams at enemy images on Captain Power's television show. If a player hit enough opponents, an audible signal would denote victory. If a player was defeated, the action figure in the cockpit would eject.
