Since 2010, Hasbro has released a number of new lines of action figures to keep the franchise before the buying public. Following the variety of The Clone Wars lines Hasbro offered from 2008 to 2011 and the two variations of The Legacy Collection available from 2008 to 2010, Hasbro issued The Vintage Line and Shadow of the Dark Side in 2010. In 2012 Hasbro offered two variations of The Phantom Menace figures, Movie Heroes and Discover the Force, to coincide with the February 2012 theater release of the 3D version of Episode I. At the end of 2012, Star Wars creator George Lucas sold his interests in the enormous Star Wars franchise, as well as the companies responsible for the movies' spectacular special effects, Industrial Light & Magic and Skywalker Sound, to the huge Disney corporation. Disney has announced the next Star Wars movie in the saga will be in theaters in 2015. It's pretty much a sure thing that Hasbro will offer more lines of Star Wars action figures in the future.
