Ada Stamatatou was born in Athens and studied classical and rhythmic dance at the professional dance academy of Despina Grigoriadou and the Pilates method at the Stott academy. She is an activist open water swimmer and marathon runner for autism awareness. In April 2024, upon completing the Boston Marathon, she became a Six Star World Marathons Majors Finisher. She has spoken at TEDx University of Crete with the talk "One more kilometer“ and in 2021 was invited by the Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis to participate in a podcast on disability. She is the author of two books, "Raising an Autistic Child" by Memento Publications and the children's book "Is Yianni ok..? Explaining autism to children" by Metaichmio Publications. She is the president and founder of NPO Race for Autism Gr which aims to organize amateur sports events raising autism awareness, as well as support people with neurodiversity in their equal participation in sports races in Greece.
