This shows the new Railway Station under construction. Premier and Minister of Railways, John Gunn, laid the foundation stone of the new Adelaide Station, on 24 August 1926. The building was completed in June 1928. The total cost is unknown but probably exceeded £800,000 ($1,600,000). The building has 30 Ionic columns and thousands of square metres of polished granite and reinforced concrete.
