Adoration of the Child with little St. John the Baptist – tondo

The painting shows a scene of adoration, which was placed in line with the Florentine tradition against the background of the landscape. This composition scheme was popular in Florence and used especially in the early decades of the 16th century by many artists, including Raphael.
