Rectangular, rounded corners, image/text reads horizontally, inscribed "Luden's Menthol Cough Drops" on right, and "Give Instant Relief," "Trade Mark," "WHL," "Reading, PA." on left, printed in black and orange on yellow-gold ground, and imposed on variously shaped reserves, all framed with an array of decorative flourishes; upper side panel inscribed "Name on every drop," lower side panel inscribed "Sold Everywhere," reverse inscribed "All persons troubled with coughs, cold hoarseness, sore throats, etc., will find immediate relief by using these drops. Public speakers, Singers, etc., are invited to try them. One of these drops put into the mouth before going to bed, loosens the phlegm and causes the patient to enjoy a comfortable night's sleep. Manufactured by W.H.Luden, 5 Cents, Reading, PA." Lid hinged on long side. Striker in recessed groove on bottom.
