Aerial photo of Doelpolder of 1971

This aerial photo from 1971 clearly shows that the development of the port on the right bank of the Scheldt is in full expansion. The left bank of the Scheldt in the vicinity of Doel is a sheer agricultural area, with the exception of the nuclear power plant north of Doel which started in 1975.
