The large atrium represents very well the unfinished Juvarrian building site. A space between the Castle and the Manica Lunga, where there was the portion of the building damaged in 1693 by the French soldiers of the Catinat. During the restoration, Andrea Bruno wanted to bring the space back to when the eighteenth-century works were interrupted and to remember how it should have been and never was, he placed a particular pavement in stone and marble that recalls the modularity of the columns and bases designed by Filippo Juvarra
