Umazi Mvurya, a visionary from Kenya, stands out as a versatile force in visual art and creative direction. She creates immersive experiences using live installations, videos, and photos, sparking conversations that lead to real change. Each of Mvurya's projects aims to imagine a world where Africans and the Black community are free from inequality. Her work raises important questions, inviting viewers to imagine a reality without the scars of colonization and enslavement. Mvurya explores various themes, encouraging us to think about how we relate to the environment, each other, and the world.

Before focusing on art, Mvurya was known for her activism and entrepreneurship. She led the I Am Kenyan Project, a global campaign for peace using photography and social media. This effort united over 8 million people worldwide during Kenya's 2013 General Elections, showing Mvurya's dedication to positive change. She has been recognized as a TedX Teen fellow and honored among the Top Ten Teens Changing the World by BBC.
