The Luliao archeological site is located in Shalu Town of Taichung County. Usually, the archaeological team of National Museum of Natural Science carried out excavations using a sifting screen to separate out the dirt. From 2000 to 2001, more than 60 agate or carnelian beads dated 400 and 1,000 years before present were found. These beads were thought to be used in ornaments by Papora people.
