Ai Peluag (Club)

Ai Peluag. Large wooden club, medium brown colour. Long head diamond in section, each of the four surfaces of the diamond in section form have incised decorative lines and a band of light relief decorative carving rubbed with lime/coral powder possibly to enhance and highlight carving. Top of the head slightly raised in a pyramid form, with a central point, Reduced at the shaft, tapered and slightly flared toward the butt. Several surface cracks and depressions in the wood. The wood has patina. Butt itself is roughly carved.
