AirshowDuring a tour of the city of Baikonur, Kazakhstan, Expedition 57 backup crewmembers David Saint-Jacques of the Canadian Space Agency and Oleg Kononenko of Roscosmos pay homage to Yuri Gagarin, the first human to fly in space, as they laid flowers at his statue during traditional pre-launch ceremonies Sept. 27. They are the backups to the prime crew, Alexey Ovchinin of Roscosmos and Nick Hague of NASA, who will launch Oct. 11 on the Soyuz MS-10 spacecraft from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan for a six-month mission on the International Space Station...NASA/Victor Zelentsov.
