This photograph shows the broadside view of an albino bison at the National Bison Range in Montana. For many years this bison was the leader of the herd. Typically, there is always more than one leader in a herd and they operate on a majority rule basis. Whenever a bison makes a move to advance in a certain direction and the majority of the herd decides to follow, then this one bison is looked upon as a leader.
