Only at the mountain top are there pines, at the water's edge, bamboo./ Old men from the country often come here to spend the night in the fog./ The hectic pace of worldly affairs is no more to me than drifting clouds;/ My universe does not extend beyond my thatched hut./ What could be better than to grab a walking stick and head to the west of the river,/ Striving to write a new poem that will tease the common crowd. Yuncong [seal] Xiao Yuncong, 9 additional seals: 2 of Chen Yixi 陳奕禧 (1646-1709); 4 of Li Yufen 李玉棻 [Li Yunhu 李韵湖] (active mid-1800s); 3 unidentified.
