“I am 24 years old. I am originally from here in Wainwright and was raised here until I was about nine. My mom was a bilingual teacher and then she got transferred. We recently moved back in January. I baby sit for my brothers here. It’s alright. I am still getting used to living back here. It’s all right. I am just going with the flow. My sister is in one of the [traditional Inupiaq] dance groups. I love watching her perform.” — Alice Tazruk is Inupiaq and lives in Wainwright, Alaska.
