The town of Fiesole appears in the background, while in the foreground the river Mugnone shows up with a horn filled with fruits, the goddess Diana is holding the banner with the emblem of Fiesole, the god Atlas turned in stone, "per esser quel paese copioso di massi e di cave", "being that area filled with stones and quarries".
