Firenze, Italy

The complex iconographic program that unravels on the walls of the Room of the angels, otherwise known as chapel, begins in the panel placed on the west wall, where is depicted the allegory of the Militant Church. The female figures, inviting the Florentine saints to move towards the triumphant Church, represents, from left to right: the Passion, the Mercy, the Evangelical law and the Penance characterized by iconographic elements. In the background the Florentine cathedral.
