Allen Family textile collection

This image shows a selection of items from the Allen family textile collection, including lace collars and sleeves. Other items in the textile collection include a shawl, kerchief, nightcaps, mittens, and a bag that was tied over a baby's hand to stop him from sucking his thumb. The Historical Society of Pennsylvania also possesses the Allen Family papers, which includes a family tree and family photographs.
