Large earthenware jar for ablutions, with printed decoration, stamping covering the whole surface area, with an abundance of geometric, plant, epigraphic and architectural motifs. The large earthenware jar, carried out with a very porous clay, has the function of carrying water and was generally found on a base which supported it and which ; collected the water spilled out of the jar. The water that was collected passed through a tube towards the inside of the ablution washbasin, which was also filled with water directly collected from the large earthenware jar. The water of the washbasin was used to carry out ritual ablutions prior to the five daily prayers established in the Islamic creed.
