Alone on the vine

The vineyard, unlike the usual production in Padova, maintains its recognizability. Despite this, the author's intent is not touse reassuring images, in fact the proposed vision is the synthesis of the emotions that stir the artist's soul. The artwork shows a piece of nature captured in its nuances and chromatic tones, turning between the ranges of green and yellow, where the latter has been used to trace an unusual, unnatural sky. Through the intersection and the spreading of insisted signs and brushstrokes, Padova gives life to a personal and creative reinterpretation of nature: in the center of the canvas we can glimpse an ambiguous, mysterious shape, whose features almost merge with the vegetation portrayed. It is a kind of insect, whose dimensions are disproportionate to the representation; the legs of the creature are spread out broken, it is not attributable to a specific type of animal. The painter is interested in placing on the scene an element, almost dreamlike, probably symbolic of the tensions he felt.
