Her work is based on images of the outside world, which she depicts on surfaces with photographic realism, building scenes that gather finely made objects. With her attention to detail, she goes beyond photographic fidelity, until she gives them a sense that goes against literal interpretations, to offer the viewer a more poetic truth that offers an account of the mystery that everyday objects hold.

She often works with large scales, as can been seen in Altar, a recently acquired piece dated 1991, which is divided as if it was a medieval triptych, with a middle panel and two lateral ones, where the main characters are apparently things, although they show their owner’s world. Several items of clothing, a pencil, some books, pliers and nails, pots and pans, the edge of a corkscrew, a notebook or the vegetables convey a message inside another that does not appear but is suggested in the painting.
