The first tour by a senior Wales team was to South Africa in 1964. In the Test match in Durban South Africa beat Wales 24-3. This jersey was worn by Alun Pask and bears his tour number. Alun Pask was born in Blackwood and a player with the Abertillery club. In the 1960s he was a great No 8. He toured with the British and Irish Lions to South Africa in 1962 and Australia and New Zealand in 1966. He captained Wales to the Five Nations Championship in 1966.
