AMaasai moran now a junior elder, vows lifelong fidelity and allegiance to his brothers

One of the graduating Moran (warrior), now a junior elder, vows lifelong fidelity and allegiance to his brothers, under the supervision of senior elders and a Laibon (spiritual leader), by symbolically biting the heart and lungs of the sacrificial ox. Kenya’s renowned photojournalist Mohamed (Mo) Amin, also known as ‘Six Camera Mo’, produced a comprehensive pictorial record of these remarkable people entitled “The Last of the Maasai”.
