This artifact was recovered during an excavation of a mid 19th century domestic site, located in Markham, by Archaeological Services Inc. in 2004. The amber stone with cut facets was set into a metal with two jump rings, and may have been either a ring or pendant. Other adornments were also found during the excavation, including 5 beads and 3 faux gems.
