This artifact is a small American silver coin. It was found in Oakville in 2016 by Archaeological Services Inc. (ASI). Around 4,000 Euro-Canadian artifacts have been recovered from the site, mainly dated from the early 19th century up to 1870. The coin has been perforated, probably to make it into a charm for a bracelet or a pendant. Even though it is heavily worn, the date 1852 is still visible as well as the denomination: three cents.
