Glass milk bottles were delivered to homes in San José until the late 1960s. Empty bottles were picked up by the milkman and replaced with fresh bottles of milk. Each customer would specify the type and amount of milk. This bottle from the American Dairy Company is inscribed, "Building Young Americans, American Dairy Co. San Jose, Cal." On display in the Portuguese Historical Museum at the Imperio, History Park.
